Rosh Hashana Greetings

With the High Holidays approaching, we all look forward to seeing our families sitting around the table on Rosh Hashana, dipping apples into honey, expressing heartfelt well wishes for a Happy New Year, and mostly being thankful for all the wonderful things we have. But we must never lose sight of the fact that there are children who are not as fortunate as we were, as our own children are – children who come from broken homes and never experienced the traditional Rosh Hashana celebration under the roof of a warm and loving household. At the Neve Michael Children's Village, there are over 250 children at risk in our care. For these unfortunate children, the dedicated staff at Neve Michael is the only stable family they have. We care for their needs and help them overcome their traumas of a tender age. Through our love and care, professional therapy and our stress on education, we provide the means to repair their lives. But we can not do these things alone – so much depends on you, our kind supporters. Please help us continue. Now more than ever, on the eve of Rosh Hashana 5770, help us help our children to be as thankful as we are today.

Best Wishes for the New Year,
David Fridman, Director
